MISC: All guys I like look the same. -_-

Today I noticed my most favorite (looks wise) celebrities look very alike.
Now I understand the whole "type" thing...
Though I always I believed I never really had one.

Kim Jae Won (Childhood Favorite)
I've watched EVERY SINGLE one of his dramas!~
He just recently got released from the military as well. ^^
Imagine my 6 year old self squealing at the TV.~ ^0^

Baek Sung Hyun
Look familiar? The one who played the younger of Kwon Sang Woo's Character in Stairway to Heaven.
(Which was a huge hit btw.)

Lee Dong Gun

They all... look like Goldfishes..?~

General: My Favorite Places To Shop & My Style

My Style:
  • If I had to describe my style in 3 words it would be... simple, sophisticated, and slightly romantic.
  • You'll never catch me wearing graphic t's w/ loud designs, or clothing that is too revealing.
  • I enjoy khakis, button up shirts, and ruffle detailing.
  • I like to wear white, pastel colors, and dark grey.
  • Skinny Jeans are my most favorite type of jean style.
  • I believe in layernig.
  • I do not dwell on "trends" and fads, but pick styles that I feel will continue to be wearable.
  • Florals are pretty, but too much can be distracting.
URBAN OUTFITTERS
They have a large selection of clothing that has the potential to suit a large audience. From romantic, casual to super edgy, this store has it all. Although items can be a little pricey, you can find great deals in their sale section of their store.

Abercrombie & Fitch
I've noticed many people tend to sport the generic logo graphic T's at Abercrombie. But I really like to focus on the high quality shirts and the denim they offer. Their denim w/ spandex is generally very comfortable and has a great simple back pocket design. Abercrombie's casual and simple touch really appeals to me. Abercrombie's clothing are generally high priced but of many years of shopping there the excellent quality has never failed me. (Quality is much better than their sister company Hollister Co.)

Review:
(Since this is a quick review, I will only mention things that I feel most affect my rating of this product)

Before I start, I will mention that I did purchase this last Christmas, so I have used these quite a bit. Also, Sigma has changed the names/numbers that represents each brush. Which means, that it is possible for these brushes to have improved over the past year.

  • Brush Roll: Made out of a soft high quality material that feels very good to the touch and is easy to clean as well. Always A+. Some people say it smells funny, but it didn't bother me much...
  • Large Powder Brush (F30): Overall this brush is pretty dense and is pretty soft, nothing exceptional though. One thing that I absolutely dread about this is how it sheds... This sheds like CRAZY. (To me crazy is when I can't go through dusting powder over my face w/out having AT LEAST 4 hairs fall out on my face.) It might not be considered much... but 4 hairs mean I have to pick at my face 4 times more times than required, possibly ruining the texture and canvas that my liquid foundation has created under it....
  • Duo Fibre (F50): I use this for applying liquid foundation and occasionally for blush. This also sheds like crazy...~ -_- But it still gets the job done. I would say the quality isn't too different from a Sephora Duo Fibre. It's just a regular Duo Fibre. Nothing special.
  • Large Angled Contour (F40):  This could've been my favorite of the brush set... but it just smelled SOO horrible when I got it... lol It's really soft and fits perfect in the hollows of my cheeks and has an ideal shape to cover other areas such as the sides of my forehead to contour.
  • Eyeliner (E05): I like how the brushes are firm, which gives me great control on where and how I apply my makeup. BUT I wouldn't mind if it was a bit thinner. I'd rather have the brush be a little thinner and give me an option to create thick & thin lines then only being able to create thicker lines and struggling to create thinner ones as I please.

General: The Misconception of the Ulzzang Image

NOTE: This is completely MY opinion. This is not posted to bring offense to anyone at all and is only posted to express my thoughts on this subject. If you agree, wonderful, if you don't agree, wonderful, God Bless to all. :)

Here's the basics of today's topic:

Definition of Ulzzang (얼짱): Best Face / Pretty Face

Ulzzang's Generally:
  • Have double eyelids / big eyes
  • Small face
  • Upright nose
  • Have bright skin
  • Are photogenic (looks good in pictures @ almost all angles.)
  • Overall has a visually pleasing face
The name/nickname "Ulzzang" is generally labeled/stereotyped on those who inherit the "korean ideal" face features such as double eyelids, an upright straight nose etc. (Considering the word "Ulzzang"is Korean. Also, this is NOT meaning people who don't have double eyelids are not visually attractive. What people are attracted to, taste and believe is more visually pleasing varies by person.) <-- Personally I think Ulzzang's can look a little scary at certain times... 0.o They look either too unreal, or just idk...~

So...
Q: How do you become an "official" Ulzzang?
A: Korea holds contests (usually online) where people enter and compete to recieve the "Ulzzang" title.
(But the "Ulzzang" Figure has turned into almost like a lifestyle or style trend in Korea...?)

Here are some people who are considered to be official "Ulzzang" in Korea...

유혜주

Q:Is there such thing as Ulzzang poses?
A: There are no concrete walls on what is and isn't Ulzzang poses, but there are poses as well as picture taking angles that Ulzzang's tend to do often.

Okay so, what's the misconception??

  1. Not all Ulzzangs wear layers of makeup. (Sometimes, they don't wear any at all)
  2. Not all Ulzzangs wear lots of eyeliner. (Generally it's very thin.)
  3. Not all Ulzzangs wear circle lenses.
  4. Not all Ulzzangs underwent plastic surgery.
  5. Being an ulzzang isn't a light switch.
